Privacy policy
Short version: your bank files never leave your device. We don't see them, store them or send them anywhere.
Your files
When you choose or drop a file, your browser reads it on your own device. The conversion runs in your browser too. Your file, its transactions and any account details are not uploaded to our server or to any other server. When you close the page, they are gone.
The file you download is created in your browser and saved straight to your device.
What is saved on your device
To save you time next month, the site keeps a few settings in your browser's local storage:
- your theme choice (system, light or dark);
- the column choices you made for a file layout (for example "column 1 is the date"), so the same bank's file converts in one click next time. Only the column choices are saved, never the data in the columns;
- the last output format you used and the bank you picked from the bank list.
Transactions, account numbers and file contents are never saved. These settings stay on your device and are not sent to us. You can remove them at any time with Clear saved settings at the bottom of every page, or by clearing your browser's site data.
What we collect
The site has no accounts, no signup and no contact forms. The site itself does not use cookies or analytics. Like any website, the hosting server may keep standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time) to keep the site running and secure. These logs never contain your bank files, because your files are never sent to the server.
Advertising
Pages show ads from Adsterra, an advertising network. To show them, your browser loads Adsterra's code and pictures from Adsterra's servers. Like any server, they receive technical details such as your IP address and browser, and Adsterra may store cookies or similar data in your browser. Its privacy policy explains what it collects.
The converter never sends your file or its transactions to Adsterra or anyone else: the conversion still happens only in your browser. The ad code does run on our pages, so if you prefer to keep it away entirely, an ad blocker removes the ads and the converter works the same without them.
If you email us, we receive what you send and use it only to answer you. Please don't send bank files or account numbers.
When the converter doesn't recognize your bank's file, it offers a link to email us the file's column names so we can look at adding that layout. The link only opens your own email program with the first row of the file (the column names) filled in, never your transactions. Nothing is sent unless you send that email yourself.
Changes
If what the site or its advertising collects changes, this page is updated first and says exactly what is collected. The date at the bottom shows the last change.
